This is my first whiskey review and I hope you like it. If you miss anything, please let me know it below in the comment section.
My first whiskey review will be devoted to Jack Daniels Silver Select Whiskey. The Silver Select, like all other, is a Tennessee Whiskey which is located in Lynchburg Tennessee. It was founded by Jack Daniels itself in 1866.
The barrels for Silver Select has been hand-selected by Jacks master tasters for its unique taste and smooth. Compared with the normal Single Barrel, these limited barrels are aged in the highest reaches of Jacks barrelhouses, where the Whiskeys color and taste mature an extra measure. Each barrel is aged in a different location within the warehouse for a better maturation and each barrel of Silver Select is never blended, so you can expect slight differences from bottle to bottle.
Silver Select comes in at a higher AbV (50%) which intensifies the flavors even more. If this is to much for you, you can certainly add a few drops of water to the Silver Select if you like.
Brand: Jack Daniels
Type: Tennessee Whiskey
Alcohol: 50% (100 Proof)
Nose: fresh citrus, oakey spice and fresh pines
Taste: Rich, thick palate with a big whack of sweet spices, vanilla and pine resin
Finish: Long, spicy finish with caramelised sugar and stewed fruit
This is indeed one of the best Jack Daniels Whiskeys I have tasted so far. If you can find it, buy some 😉
